Day done
47 F
So the day outside is over for today. Needed to stop early today, so I could get all prettied up for church tonight. We have a class to take tonight. I have been to most of the sessions in the past, but took a couple of breaks to go the Netherlands to visit my Woman before she was really my Woman. Neither one of us are really enthused by the class. Not enough meat in it for us I guess.
Margriet got the rest of the windows cleaned in the living room, as well as the "china" cabinet and Grandma's secretary. We can actually see out of the windows a bunch better. Only problem is that now I have to do the outside of them. Oh well.
I didn't get any trees cut down today. Seems the wind came up again, just as I was about to start cutting. In stead I started to block up the wood I have on the bunk. Probably tomorrow I will fire up the splitter. It appears that I will have close to a full cord of firewood when it is all said and done. I must have played with a log incorrectly yesterday as I have a bit of a kink in my back. Still kept chugging, but slower with more breaks than normal.
I put the beans on this morning to cook and stripped the meat from the hocks to add to the pot. The cooked all day. Added some carrot, onion, and celery about mid afternoon, then let it cook until supper time. Turned out to be a pretty good pot of bean soup. Margriet made some biscuits to go along with the soup. She has developed a new kind of biscuits - flop biscuits! For what every reason, she added too much liquid to the mix, so they looked more like baked pancakes than drop biscuits. Tasted good though.
Time to get pretty. Have a good one!
