Snowing
2:30 P.M.
28 F, Snowing, ESE wind 12 mph, 35 mph gusts.
The snow has been coming down since about 9:00 A.M. this morning. Actually much lighter than I expected only a couple inches on the ground at the moment. The warnings and advisory have been dropped a few minutes ago. The great accumulation expected, doesn't look like it will happen, but with the wind being up, should be interesting driving. One good thing is the temperature is hot, so the snow is some heavy. Heart attack snow. About 1:30 P.M., I did put the van at the end of the driveway at the road. The wind is blowing down the last half of the driveway, after the corner, so expect it will not be too drifted in. From the corner to the house may be a different story though.
Our drain problem is back again. Not really sure it every really left. We picked up some industrial strength drain opener yesterday, but we will have to see if it works. I still hate the idea of digging up the line and rodding it out. Not one of my favorite pastimes. Especially with frozen ground - even a little bit.
It really is beautiful-er out then before. With the hot temperature, in spite of the wind, the snow is sticking to everything like frosting or whipped cream. Kind of cool hearing the wind whistling through the trees too. Harkens back to the good old days in the big woods!
Margriet is busy wrapping a couple more packages to send. Having a good time too. She just said there was something in the van she needed (of course when it is not parked at the road). I told her she could get it any time she wanted. She thought I said I would get it. :-) When I said it again, she didn't like it! Guess I will go for a walk in the snow. Will check out the swamps on the way.
