Cloudy fog

31º F, Cloudy, NNE wind 2 mph.
Good morning,
Another cloudy and dreary day here. To the west of us, the schools are either closed or running a couple of hours late, thanx to the icy conditions. Seems the rain/snow mix which fell there has caused very icy roads. Usually we have a January thaw, but this year it seems to be all of January! Not real healthy either I think. Margriet was more or less down all last week and I have been feeling less the 100% for the past few days too. Oh well .... maybe we will have snow in July.
Margriet made up for the down week by washing all of the floors in the house yesterday and really cleaning the bathroom. I think everything in the house got moved. Looks much better now. Suppose I shouldn’t mess it up very much for a while. She was going to make some cookies too, but ran out of gas and time. Maybe today.
We are not going to Green Bay today to get supplies since I have a council meeting tonight and we would be rather rushed to get back in time to get ready. If plans are realized as we think, we will go tomorrow. The rocking chair money for Margriet finally came in so we have something to spend. ;-)
Margriet came across a recipe that called for sippets yesterday. We had no idea as to what that was, so Googled it to find out. In the process, I came across a website, http://www.free-recipes.co.uk/english-housewifery-exemplified/ , a cookbook from the 1800's. The book is an e-book on the web available for no cost. The book is really interesting and has a lot of information concerning cooking and life at that time. Really interesting. The website also led be to another, http://www.gutenberg.org/ which has a ton of e-books online along with other things of interest. The Gutenberg site can occupy considerable time perusing it. I can see that it may be of some benefit for some of the things I am interested in.
I did manage to start the next new workbook for Bible study. Even though it will be several weeks at best before needing it, I thought it necessary to keep some continuity, at least of my mind, on the last of this long journey. I am just picking up from the research I have done for the last one.
Time to get the day a-going.
In Christ My Saviour,
