Good afternoon,

So .... I have had a request for pictures of our new abode. I won’t mention any names, but her initials start with Astrid. Here goes.
The first picture is of the "front" from the southeast. As you can see, there is some work yet to be done here, but nothing we can’t handle. The construction is of manufactured logs. It isn’t my idea of first choice building materials, but that is what is there. There is a provision for a deck across the front, but not sure that we will. Might put an external entryway in front of the door. Slow down the entrance of cold winter air. We will not use it as a main entrance for sure, that is on the side or "back" of the house.

The second picture is the side or "back" of the house. The lean-to and the carport will disappear rather shortly after we get there. Garages/carport don’t belong attached to the house. When in the country, one has to consider fire danger closely. Also they look ugly! We probably will keep the 8 feet closest to the house, build it in as an entryway. The stairway to the basement is also an outside door and that would make it an inside door. There is a walkout door to the basement on the opposite side of the house.

The last picture is of the guest house. Actually it is kind of like a Hobbit House. Very small and compact. Really kind of cute and we probably will use it to live in at first, until we get some things finished in the main house. Both houses have wood and gas heat. There also is room for the "hired hand" in the loft of the shop. WE already have visions of the Dutch handsome dudes sleeping there.
