Forgotten Morning

I forgot I need to prepare for our Church Council meeting on Tuesday. My normal preparation includes getting a tentative agenda out via email to the members several days in advance, let them review it, then putting a final copy in their church mailbox on Sunday before church. To complicate matters some is that next Sunday we have a semi-annual meeting between the services. So ..... I spent a couple of hours getting those ready to go and into the email. To compound matters somewhat, I can't find the minutes and/or agenda from last year's meeting. The only piece of business, really, is the reading and approval of the 2006 budget.

Since I have problems with numbers, I was hoping I would not have to present it. No such luck. We have had some serious problems with our Financial Secretary/Treasurer (same person) for over a year and a half, so I get to do it this year as everything in that committee is in turmoil. Hope the congregation is some patient and helpful to get through it. The only part of the meeting I probably will have problems with is the number crunching. Leading the rest of the meeting is a piece of cake.

Margriet is busy washing the windows in the bedroom today and cleaning the room too. I really will have to get the ladder out and do some serious outside window washing soon! Maybe I should wait until a cold and rainy day - then I can put it off again :-)

We are having some leftover bean soup for lunch today. No flop biscuits though. Only crackers. Tonight we have decided to go out for fish. Probably will end up at Slovan for their all you can eat trout-boil. Really good! Eat too much though.
