Simmering
1:43 P.M.
25 F, Cloudy, W wind 2 mph.
So the chicken noodle soup is simmering on the woodstove. When the vegetables are cooked, I will add a couple handfuls of noodles. When they are cooked, should be time to eat supper. Soup and some of Margriet's homemade bread, should make a pretty good meal I think.
Margriet is busy wrapping presents to send across the puddle. It is a big job. We like to wrap all of the "little" things too. Pim and Bram seem to really enjoy unwrapping them. Not to sure if the older folks enjoy that so much though. Suspect that they do most of the clean up. Oh well, Christmas comes but once a year.
I have been baking some Christmas gifts. I have to paint them and hope that task will be accomplished tonight. Hope to get a couple of them in each package too. If not, will have to send them latter. Smaller package hopefully will go quicker.
I did get the thermostat sensor bulb moved on the wall furnace. It seems to have cured the problem of short cycling. While the area of the thermostat on the furnace looks to be large to get at it - it ain't as big as it looks. Had to do some fooling around to finally get it to the bottom of the cabinet. There is a lot more space on it than most of the appliances I have worked on in the past and I can even see what I am working on, but my fingers seem to grow fatter as I started to work on it. The pilot light going out still is a problem. Not sure what that problem is or how to correct it. I have another email into the company and will see what the result is.
Have to check the oven and the soup!
