Good morning,
Just a light dusting of snow out this morning. Suspect all I will need to do is to sweep it off of the deck and ramp. Temperature is to warm to day and the weatherman is talking of rain tomorrow. Oh goddie!
The last Saturday of gun deer season for this year. Wonder how many deer are hanging on the buck pole. It appears that the weather up there improved for them (snow and some cold) so at least they well have good hunting. Probably also a good sized group in camp today, so will be making a lot of drives. The last weekend was always more fun since we had another subject to tease folks about - not in shape. Those of us who had been there for the entire season and our "woods" legs. Our bodies had gotten used to all of the walking - especially uphill. :-) Actually we had been over the drives so often that year we had learned where to step and not to step, or the road signs to a particular location. But, just the same, teasing is good. Especially for the new ones in camp - no matter how many years they have hunted.
The dressing for our Cornish hens was made from fruit bread this year. When it came time to make the dressing, we discovered the bread set aside had gone south. The only other bread in the house was the fruit bread. As it turned out, the combination was really very good and will probably try to do that again.
Short this morning, have to get out an sweep snow and get the day a-going.
In Christ My Saviour,
