Fall is falling and Winter is winning

Good morning,

So winter comes today. The weather is pretty much on the normal - for today. The weather should warm and eventually get to rain on Sunday - not normal winter. At least it will be a white Christmas, but with a coat of rain on top. Not fun walking through the woods in ankle deep water on top of the snow. Knee boot time again I think is coming.

We got Margriet's computer back late yesterday afternoon. Apparently the operating system was messed up and needed to be reinstalled again. It is, but now we have to get all of the programs back again. At the moment the problem is setting up the network connections so she can get online again. That is presenting a bunch of problems for some reason. The network is working from my computer to her's well, but something is messed up in her computer - somewhere.

Bible study was some strange yesterday. We really turned left a couple of times and got off of the subject at hand. That isn't bad, but there sure were some things triggered by the workbook for some people. Myself included. Didn't expect that at all. The numbers, expectedly, were down, but everyone got a chance to contribute more. Actually there were 10 folks there, a number of participants I like to work with. We will not be meeting next week as everyone will be cleaning up from Christmas I guess.

The quilting gals sent the quilt to the Pastor in Long Beach yesterday. They made a special one for her and their new place to live. They had sent one to "make do" several weeks ago, until they could get this one finished. I asked them to take a picture of all the folks who worked on it with the quilt. Not too sure they did that. I forgot to ask them yesterday.

For the council meeting last night - I was so not prepared. Actually we didn't have that much on the agenda and a couple of folks were some late, but we made it through without any scars. One of the gals on the council wasn't there. Her daughter had an automobile accident late in the afternoon. Apparently there was a telephone pole involved. Chris didn't know how badly her daughter was injured, or if, but went to pick her up in Wrightstown, in the Appleton area. Another gal who happened to be at church last night decorating for the Christmas services, said her daughter was also involved in a roll-over automobile accident yesterday afternoon. Apparently there were no injuries, other than bumps and bruises, to her daughter or her Mother who was riding along. Not a good day for young women drivers I think.

I found another thing the hard-drive demise messed up. I looked at the furnace filter and it really needed to be changed. The cleaning schedule for it had also disappeared from the computer. So .... The filter is changed and the schedule is restored! Should improve the efficiency of the furnace some.

Margriet baked a bunch of Christmas breads yesterday. Sure smelled good. That along with fooling around with her computer, caused us not to cut a tree for our Christmas tree. That should happen today. I hope.

Time to get to other things and the day a-going.

In Christ My Saviour,

Chris <><
